Trevor was born in Newtown and grew up on a smallholding, although his parents had a successful engineering business in the town until retirement in 1989. He always had an interest in architecture, but following summer experience at an estate agency studied for a BSc Degree in Urban Estate Management at Treforest, in what is now known as the University of South Wales. Whilst there he was captain of a very successful Hockey team. Following graduation he managed estate agency offices in Builth Wells and Llandovery for over 7 years, before founding Morgan & Co. Outside work he initially coached some local ladies hockey teams, played squash for 26 years and does clay pigeon shooting, representing Powys for 25 years. Trevor joined Builth Wells Male Voice Choir in 2010 as a bass and has sung with the Dolau Mixtures (mixed choir) since 2015. His brother Gerald trained as a Chartered Accountant and has a practice in Welshpool. Trevor is Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents, a Member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents, is licenced with Rent Smart Wales and has passed the Associate Scheme from the Guild of Property Professionals.
Derwyn Morgan, a farmer’s daughter, was born on a large mixed farm near Penybont and studied at Llandrindod Wells Grammar School, before doing secretarial courses at the local College of Further Education. Following jobs for the local council and Genus, she came to work at Morgan & Co in March 1996. Derwyn covers all aspects of the business and looks after the accounts for both the business and lettings portfolio. She is licenced with Rent Smart Wales and has passed the Associate Scheme from the Guild of Property Professionals. Derwyn has four children and 7 grand-children, all living within 35 miles. Derwyn and Trevor got married in December 2009 and they live in Cwmbach, near Builth Wells, a former school which they converted.
Angie Bridgeman is Derwyn’s second daughter and studied at Crossgates CP School, Llandrindod Wells High School and the Newtown College of Further Education. Following her studies she worked for NFU Mutual for 16 years on the Royal Welsh Showground as an account holder, before deciding she wanted a change of career. Angie joined us she joined us in 2016 and predominantly looks after the rental portfolio. She is licenced with Rent Smart Wales, has passed the Associate Scheme from the Guild of Property Professionals and is studying for the Level 3 Property Management and Letting qualification with ARLA Propertymark. Angie is married to Chris Bridgeman, a reputable local builder, they have two children and live in Builth Wells.
