About Us
Morgan & Co was established by Trevor Morgan in April 1991 at Winchester House, Temple Street, Llandrindod Wells. The office had previously been used by corporate estate agents for many years before closing in the 1990 recession, by which time people had realised that they got a more personal service if they dealt directly with the business owner and we have gained a reputation for providing first class service and going out of our way to solve problems for clients.
We believe that all estate agents should be professionally qualified, because a house is most people’s biggest asset and our ongoing training keeps us abreast of all the legal changes that have been introduced in recent years. We do thorough research before undertaking valuations for all properties and in 2018 achieved over 99.5% of our combined asking price. Morgan & Co are members of NAEA / ARLA Propertymark, the foremost organisation for professional estate and letting agents, and we abide by their rules, to include undertaking at least 24 hours of continuing professional development every year, carrying Professional Indemnity Insurance and Client Money Protection, having client accounts audited, being members of a free redress scheme (The Property Ombudsman). The Welsh Government with the Renting Homes (Wales) Acts brought in a licensing scheme in 2015, called Rent Smart Wales, which gives some additional / different legislation to England. As a result all properties have to be registered and managed by somebody who is licenced. We have all passed their test and have to follow all their many changes, which will shortly include a new standard tenancy agreement.
In 2018 we were invited to join The Guild of Property Professionals, a network of over 800 professionally qualified estate agency offices located across the UK. We also adhere to their code of conduct and principle that people are guaranteed a first class, knowledgeable service which ever office they visit.
